My first dive with my son Nate! His first dive after getting his Open Water certificate with Dive Wellington.

After tightening up a slightly loose weight belt, we got the dive underway.

Nate

The conditions were relatively calm so we went west on Mermaid's Kitchen. It didn't take long before Nate was conversing with the Blue Cod.

I'm not sure if they were particularly interested or offended in what he had to say but they took a nibble out of Nate! He did good to keep his regulator in his mouth after the surprise.

We also came across a lot of other wildlife during the dive including a sizeable crayfish at the very end.

The dive went smoothly and it was a great first dive to start Nate's diving days!
