Stingrays

January 25, 2021

The very last dive of the trip on Northern Arch was simply mind boggling. There were stingrays all over the site.

It was basically impossible to take a picture without stingrays in it. It was absolutely joyous following them around. More than once I'd be focused on a stingray in front of me and I'd turn my head and see more stingray a metre or two away from me.

As the boat was leaving Poor Knights Islands, we got an amazing send off by a flock of shearwater birds flying along with the boat. A fitting end to an incredible trip.
