Sharknado

August 22, 2022

We got a good explanation of the sharks local to Beqa Lagoon during our surface interval. It's primarily populated by bull sharks but there are many other species as well. We were particularly hoping to see a tiger shark but those just are only seen on occasion.

Back to the wall for another feeding!

On The Wall

No need to scent the water this time. The sharks were plenty ready to eat again. There's really no better way to describe it than "sharknado".

After the bin was empty, we actually advanced into The Arena as a group. The entire line of divers went over the wall as one and slowly made our way to the centre of the area under the careful protection of the dive masters. We did that until we neared our no decompression limit and had to turn around.

The Arena

Again we ascended to the wreck for our safety stop.

Since it was the last dive of the day, it was also time to bring up the bins.
