YO-257

March 22, 2009

Good dive on the YO. Much less current than my last dive here. I couldn't resist waving to the Japanese tourists in the Atlantis sub that passes by. They were pretty excited and waved back.

The Atlantis

I did a swim through of one of the more open areas of the ship. A lot of white fringed coral gave the YO a snow-like appearance in places.

Snowflake-like coral

On a side note, before the boat got under way I was informed that, when I tried to bring some banana chips on board, it's considered bad luck to take bananas on boats. The captain wouldn't even start the engine until I had taken the banana chips off. I guess it's also bad luck to whistle on a boat too. News to me...
